You don’t have to be a sailor to be a volunteer!!
You need a sunny disposition and an interest in helping people of determination to learn new skills and have fun….
There are many activities that are land based during the sailing sessions and of course, plenty to do on the water. Help is required to manage the wonderful team of volunteers, along with administration, operations, training and marketing.
Of course, if you have an interest in sailing, are a qualified sailor or safety boat crew member, we welcome your skills and would love to hear from you.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information regarding the activities on the day, please Contact Us and we’ll get in touch with you.
During the sailing season the session times are as follows.
Session 1: 10:00hrs to 12:00hrs – weather, public holidays and school terms permitting
Session 2: 13:00hrs to 15:00hrs
Session 3: 15:45hrs to 17:00hrs
Volunteers arrive at approximately 08:30hrs to set up for the morning session and the afternoon session is usually completely packed away by 18:00hrs.
A Rota is set in place for volunteers and students each week. We ask for a commitment on available times and preferred session from volunteers to allow for forward planning. Obviously if things crop up volunteers can let us know in time to arrange a substitute if required.
