Wednesday 27th April 2016:

Emirati schoolchildren across Dubai will now have the opportunity to experience sailing first hand thanks to the launch of the Emirati Schools Sailing IM__2270 copy[2]Program.  The program, being run by Dubai Offshore Sailing Club will outreach to Emirati schools and offer experience days to groups of children.  The days themselves will involve students ranging from 10 to 15 years old participating in a number of sailing activities on boats ranging from small dinghies to large keelboats.

These experience days will run every week, focusing on a different school each time.

Any children wishing to extend their experience further will be welcome sign up to the regular sailing lesson schedule.

The ultimate aim would be to introduce Emirati children to the sport of sailing with the Schools Sailing Program, then guide them through the Club’s training courses to eventually enable them to represent Dubai in national sailing events.
