How to Get Here
Dubai is a major travel hub with daily flights from all major European countries, North America, East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. Dubai is the base for Emirates airline that service many destinations from the UAE. Etihad is another UAE based airline based from the Emirates Capital, Abu Dhabi (approximately 160km south of Dubai). Etihad conveniently offer a complimentary bus service from Abu Dhabi to Dubai for all their incoming and outgoing flights.

Taxis are readily available at Dubai airport 24 hours a day and it is easy to flag down a cab all over the city. Be warned that the drivers add a 25 dirham starting metre charge from the airport (approx. $7). From any other destination, this charge is minimal.

Most major car hire companies operate from the airports but it is always advisable and more economical to book in advance. You will require an international driving license, a valid credit card and be over 21 years old.
The Dubai Metro which opened in September now operates from Dubai airport and runs until midnight each day. The nearest station to DOSC is station 31, First Gulf Bank.
Visas
