Dubai can boast some of the best conditions in which to learn the sport, and Dubai Offshore Sailing Club employ a team of 3 full time instructors to facilitate your learning.

The Sailing School at DOSC has been a recognized RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Training Center since 1998, and all our courses follow their syllabuses and safety standards, resulting in students being able to attain RYA qualifications.

ADULT LESSONS can be offered in a variety of ways which best suits your convenience and are available to non members as well as DOSC members, although members do have priority.

Weekend courses are by far the most popular option and book very quickly. They predominantly run over two consecutive Saturdays, 10am-5pm, or four consecutive Saturday afternoons, 1pm–5pm. Course schedules are released three times a season, one for September to December, another for January to March, and one for April to June. Each of these schedules are sent to our mailing list, the places for each course are then allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. If you are more flexible with when you can schedule lessons, or would prefer a more personal touch, private lessons are also available Monday to Thursday. This could be a one off lesson, or an 8 session package, which equates to a complete Start Sailing or Basic Skills course see course overview for course details. There a three, two hour slots a day for private lessons, 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm and 3:30pm-5:30pm. Please contact the Sailing Department directly to discuss availability.

CHILDRENS LESSONS are run in 2 hour weekly sessions called Cadet Club, each course lasts for 8-10weeks. Due to high demand, Cadet Club spaces are only available to DOSC members.
