Good afternoon all members, friends and guests alike… the sailing season’s end is upon us and all too soon for most of us. The last of the Commodores cup regattas for the dinghy’s is this Friday with the prize giving following the event, all members are welcome to attend this prisegiving. The Tuesday Sunset pursuit races will by popular demand [again 20 yachts on the water last night] continue throughout the summer or until the numbers drop to below seven, so those who we see on the water every Tuesday night please keep coming along ….
 
The DOSC quiz night is on tonight ~ it will be full but come and join a table and see how knowledgeable you are, Colin and Lauran are the team that will bamboozle you with their devious delight, starts at 1930ish or when Colin kicks it off.
 
The World Cup football will be screened here at the club with Budweiser beer and Nederburg wine [promo bottles for this event only] promotions throughout the event. Games start at 1800 local time with the second game of the night at 2230. All games and times are on the notice board near the heads and each bottle of Nederburg [Cabernet, Dry Rose or Sav Blank] you will receive your own pull out schedule of the games.
 
The May Ball is all set for the 27th 1930 for 2000, be there and have a wonderful dinner dance at the best hotel in Dubai.

Remember the 28th regatta and or the cresent moon trip. A briefing for that trip will be held at the U bar on Wednesday the 26th at 1900 and will be short and sweet.
 
Oh one last thing, during the summer we will gut the ladies bathrooms and showers and revamp them into the modern world, the gents will be done after the ladies is completed, there will be some inconvenience so please bear with us on this.
