A quick note before the weekend ~

 

The Bill Nelson Memorial Race NOR is on the web page ~ at present we have one entry ~ this race is sponsored by Aqua Dive [primary] and Xtra-Link and is one of the most exciting races of the calendar ~ please go only the web page and sign up for this.

 

Volunteers are needed ~ provisional members we are looking directly at you for this ~ Joel is happy to talk you through the requirements ~ sailingmanager@dosc.ae

 

Dinghy *Burns Night* dinner on the 27^th at 1930 for 2000 ~ please reserve your table on ext 1008

 

This Friday 15^th January is the short handed RTW race for the cruisers and the Commodores Cup race for the dinghys ~ all information on www.dosc.ae

 

On a very sad note Mr. Frank O’Brien passed away on Tuesday night ~ may his soul forever rest in peace. Frank was a member of the club from June 1986 when he and his wife Noreen signed on as a family membership. We will miss him a lot.
