Measuring your boat

All boats racing at the Dubai Worlds must have a valid measurement certificate for hull, foil, spars and a separate certificate for ALL sails.

If possible, please try to have your measurements taken prior to arrival by your national measurer.

The measurement days for the World Championships are on Wednesday 3rd or Thursday 4th during the measurement for the UAE Nationals. These days are officially to check certificates against boats and sails and of course we will do the odd spot check.

We understand that it is not possible for everyone to have their measurements taken in advance. If you plan to bring along an un-measured boat and / or sails, please drop us an email in advance so we can arrange sufficient measurers on the allocated days. Send your details to: moths@dosc.ae

There will be a small charge to cover measurement fees. $10 per boat and $15 per sail for all first time measurement. We will put this money towards the "measurement volunteers appreciation fund"!

Finally, if your sail is oversized, you will have to cut it down typically off the foot round. Bring your own tape and scissors and we'll tell you where to cut :-)
